CPOA Charities
The Carrollton Police Officers Association (CPOA) is a nonprofit organization created by Police Officers to help the community, Police Officers and their families.
The CPOA through CPOA Charities sponsors the Santa Cops program each Christmas, the Shattered Dreams program every year at a Carrollton High School, the Police Athletic League for at risk youths, the Carrollton Police Department Explorer program for teens and the Torch Run for Special Olympics. The CPOA also sponsors a community Valentines Daddy Daughter Dance for fathers and their daughters to spend an evening together dining and dancing.
The CPOA also helps to provide financial assistance to Officers who have become seriously injured, suffered a catastrophic loss within their family, or are serving their country in the military. We provide our member Officers with their duty weapon upon their retirement and provide college scholarship assistance to our members children who are graduating from High School.
Partnerships throughout the community enable the CPOA to continue sponsoring these programs that helps strengthen the community, ensure that we can support our Officers and enhance the sense of unity that we have with the citizens and businesses of Carrollton. The Carrollton Police Officer's Association is registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) charity.
